There‘s a lesson from the recent Ohio primary election for all third-party candidates and those who would support them. The Ohio race hinged on about 1,000 votes. The story did not include an important point: a third candidate from the Green Party received approximately 1,000 votes.

For us old people who remember Ralph Nader, it‘s easy to recall that votes to a third-party candidate might as well be given to the opponent. That‘s the usual consequence in 50-50 races.
