Raleigh, N.C. — Heavy rain is falling across North Carolina on Thursday as Tropical Storm Michael moves through the state.

After battering Florida and Georgia, Michael moved through South Carolina and North Carolina on Thursday, dropping several inches of rain. Many counties in the area were under Flash Flood Warnings on Thursday afternoon.

With rain expected to continue throughout Thursday, fields may become too wet for teams to play on Friday.

After Hurricane Florence, the N.C. High School Athletic Association extended the football regular season by one week, so teams can reschedule to Friday, Nov. 9.

HighSchoolOT is tracking football schedule changes due to Michael. To report a schedule change, send an email to highschoolot.
