Funeral for Shanann Watts, daughters will be held in Pinehurst

— A funeral for Shanann Watts and her two daughters will be held next week in Pinehurst, according to an obituary.

Watts’ husband, Chris Watts is facing three charges of first-degree murder, two counts of killing a child under 12, one count of unlawful termination of a pregnancy and three counts of tampering with a deceased body in connection with the deaths of his pregnant wife and two children.

The body of Shanann Watts, who was pregnant with a boy, was s where her husband used to work.

According to an obituary, Shanann Watts had named the unborn baby boy Nico Lee before her death.

The bodies of 4-year-old Bella Watts and 3-year-old Celeste Watts were located inside an oil well on the property, authorities said.

Christopher Watts told police that he flew into a rage and strangled his wife, took the three bodies to a remote oil site north of Denver, buried Shanann in a shallow grave and dumped the girls‘ bodies inside oil tanks.

Family members ask that, in lieu of flowers, people honor the memory of Shanann Watts and her daughters with a donation to the Lupus Foundation of America, the Frederick Colorado Police Department’s Missing Persons Division or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
