— Police in Fayetteville were searching for a suspect and motive after a man was shot and killed early Saturday, authorities said.
Emergency workers were called to the 5600 block of McDougal Drive around 3:45 a.m. Saturday after someone called to report a shooting. When police arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound.
He died at the scene, police said.
Police declined to release the victim‘s name, pending notification of family members. Investigators have also not publicly said what prompted the gunfire or named a suspect in the case.
